Carola Fiore

Founder, Managing Principal

Originally from Argentina and based in San Diego since 2006, Carola Fiore is the Founder of CREAR Design Studio.

Her work is shaped by a distinctive blend of influences: an active Southern California lifestyle, Italian-Argentinian design heritage, and decades of experience on projects across the globe. Career highlights include contributing to the master plan design of Real Madrid’s Sport City, designing for InterContinental and Four Seasons hotels, and working in some of the world’s most beautiful and environmentally sensitive landscapes, including Patagonia, Baja California, and coastal Spain.

Before founding CREAR in 2019, Carola spent thirteen years at EDSA, where she led projects from concept through implementation across residential, resort, community planning, and international master-planned developments. She founded CREAR to bring the rigor and sophistication of a global design practice into a more personal, detail-focused studio environment, one defined by clear communication, close collaboration, and thoughtful project management and execution.

Trained first as an architect, Carola approaches landscape architecture as more than design; it is a responsibility to integrate land, buildings, regulations, ecology, and human experience into places that feel natural, functional, and lasting. Her design philosophy is rooted in a commitment to creating sustainable landscapes that inspire and work in harmony with nature, never imposed. She believes that design shapes the way people live, and that a meaningful connection to nature is essential to well-being.

Carola brings a passion of the craft to CREAR’s exceptional detailing and design, and excels in working personally with her clients, and when needed, partners with architects, engineers, artisans, and consultants to deliver holistic, site-sensitive solutions.

She is an affiliate member of the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA), a member of the Association of Professional Landscape Designers (APLD), a certified Qualified Water Efficient Landscaper, and a volunteer Tree Steward with the Balboa Park Conservancy in San Diego.

Outside of work, Carola is happiest outdoors—trail running, hiking, skiing, and exploring with her camera and her family, always seeking deeper connection to the land.

Carola graduated with a B.A. in Architecture and a specialization in Landscape Architecture from the Universidad Nacional de Córdoba (Argentina).
