Carola Fiore
Founder, Managing Principal
Born in Argentina, the youngest in a large family of architects, engineers, and landscape architects, Carola's upbringing might have been the first hint that design would become a way of life. After earning her architecture degree with a specialization in landscape architecture from Universidad Nacional de Córdoba, she moved to the United States in 1998 to join EDSA—one of the world’s leading landscape architecture firms.
During her thirteen years at EDSA, including a decade at the firm’s Florida headquarters and three years in its California office, Carola led all phases of the planning and design process, from concept development through implementation. She worked on a wide range of residential, resort, and community planning projects, as well as large-scale master plans across more than ten countries in the United States, Europe, and Latin America.
In 2019, Carola founded CREAR Design Studio with a clear purpose: to bring the rigor, expertise, and best practices of a global design firm into a more personal, detail-focused studio environment. Her goal was to offer clients the same caliber of design with a higher level of collaboration and attention.
Carola brings a passion of the craft to CREAR’s exceptional detailing and design, and excels in working personally with her clients, and when needed, partners with architects, engineers, artisans, and consultants to deliver holistic, site-sensitive solutions.
She is an affiliate member of the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA), a member of the Association of Professional Landscape Designers (APLD), a certified Qualified Water Efficient Landscaper, and a volunteer Tree Steward with the Balboa Park Conservancy in San Diego.
Outside of work, Carola is happiest outdoors—trail running, hiking, skiing, and exploring with her camera and her family, always seeking deeper connection to the land.
